Double Trouble

Brady and his "best friend" Luke have been having a lot of fun together lately. We pick him up from daycare on Monday mornings and take the two of them to tumbling together. They go to preschool together on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and also get to hang out together at his mommy and I's volleyball games each week. We have him over some to play and they boys love it! Here's some recent pics of the boys in action.

This was at Luke's 4th birthday party. He had just gotten a train track and Brady was using his expertise to show him how to put it together :)

Here's some from a recent get together at our house. The boys played trains and cars like they were going out of style! I love these two!

Here's Brady's trains. The current loves of his life :) Since this picture he has added to his collection.

Richards Art Show 2012

Thursday night we all went to Jolee's school for this years art show. It was fantastic! Getting to see all of the things the kids have worked all this year was great. The creativity that they and their art teacher, Ms. Jones, have was very neat to see. Jolee let me snap a few pictures of her with a couple of her creations.

This is her weaving project

This is her "shrunken head". I loved getting to see this. She was so excited when they were making these earlier in the year, I couldn't wait to see it!

Fresh Beat Band Concert!

This weekend we finally got to go to Kansas City to see Brady's first concert!!!! If any of you have preschool aged kids, you may have heard of the Fresh Beat Band. They have a show on Nickelodeon, and it's very popular in our house! Their songs are actually very catchy, and we love to sing them together in the car. I got these tickets several months ago and I think Brady thought it was never going to get here. But, it did! And here's just a couple pictures that I was able to get on my phone!

Waving boodbye to the band!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy late Valentines Day! We had snow days Monday and Tuesday, so all the schools are having their parties today. First we went to Brady's school for his party. I managed to get a few cute pictures of him and his best buddy Luke. Oh, and did I mention that I have the best guy ever!?!?!? Well, I do! He surprised me with a new camera that I had been dying for for ages! So now I'm carrying around a camera 24-7 and threatening anyone who even breathes on it! Ok, maybe not :)

Update on Nothing

Hello all! This is a quick stop in to let you all know that the Powers family hasn't fallen off the face of the earth! We have, however, been SUPER busy. Between school events, homework, and the regular everyday routines, I feel like I've had zero time to sit down to blog. We've also not done much that qualifies as "picture worthy" lately :) . We do have some exciting stuff coming up though! We have tickets to see the Fresh Beat Band on the 24th in Kansas City, birthdays, and spring break. I promise I will improve on the updates Mom!

Till then, I hope everyone has a fabulous Valentines Day! Love you all!

More Crafts!

I wish I could say that we've been doing something super exciting...no, wait, I don't! It's been great to get some time to relax and get back to normal after last month. Jolee's gotten back into school and is doing great, as expected. We've told her teachers and nurse that she needs to have an imaginary "bubble" around her at all times! If we could send her to school in bubble wrap, we so would. LOL

I've also been enjoying getting back to crafting and making pretty girl things. Here's a few of my newest things.
Woven headbands - these would be fun to make in school colors
These are just a few of the tons of flower pens that Jolee and I got really good at making last month during her down time.
Some loopy flower bows. These are really fun to make!
Flowers with pretty petals. I'm still trying to get good at sealing the edges on these.
Here's the first of some headbands I'm also starting to make. I always start things by making some that I know Jolee would like. I really like how these turned out. I'm getting ready to start making some that are for older girls or adults.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend and enjoying the beautiful weather!!!
