Fun in the Plane

Our trip TO Olathe last week was WAY better than our flight BACK to West Plains....lots of yucky weather! But Brian is a great pilot. Elmo flew with us to keep Brady company. Jolee makes a wonderful co-pilot for Daddy! Brady tried on the headphones so he could listen to Daddy...but they didn't last too long. I thought I would snap a pic on our final into Olathe :)

2nd Party

Elmo makes a great cake!

Brady tends to get tired right when the action starts.

Awwww.....

Lindsey and Jackson :)

Me and my 1-year old!!

The kids playing on the NASCAR quilt Nana made Brady.

Me & Brady, Josie & Shayla, Alicia, and Lindsey & Jackson

Trying to decide if he likes the feeling of cake on his hands....

The answer is no!
This las weekend we went up to Olathe for Brady's birthday party at Nana & Papaw's house. It was so much fun! We got to see Brian's sister Lisa and her family along with our sister in law Crystal and her 2 kiddos Chaise & Madison. My 3 best girlfriends came (Alicia, Lindsey & Josie) and brought their kiddos too (Jackson & Shayla)! Great Aunt Donna was there, and so were my sisters. It was great getting to see everyone in one place. I just hope all of our kids get to hang out tons and get really close over the years! Thanks again to everyone for coming!!!!!

The big 0-1!!!!

Oh no! Now he's got the aviation bug!

Whew!!! We made it a year already! Months 0-5 crept by sooooo... slowly (thanks to colic), but after that, it's been a blur! We are so lucky to have a happy, healthy little boy that changes so much every day. If he's anything like his sister, he is only going to get better and more fun with age.
He had a great birthday! We ran and did some errands and cleaned house a bit. Then Daddy and Jolee came home and the fun started! Grandma Lilla and Alyssa came over and we all had pizza. Then our friends Brody and Brooke and their girls Emily and Maddeline came and we all had cake and ice cream. Brady didn't quite know what to do with his cake, so the girls tried to show him what to do. Then, he took him a 30 minute power nap (during presents of course!). We realized it was such a beautiful night out, so we all decided to get out and enjoy it. Brady got a lesson in B-ball and F-ball, and walked all over the court. The girls showed off their tampoline skilz (as did Brian). Before bed we had to get out the TMX Elmo and airplane. Such a GREAT day!!!!! Now on to Olathe for the big par-tay!

Powers Super Speedway

Me getting ready to go racin!
Brian trying to act like he's going to beat me....HA!

As you can see, I left him in the dust! LOL

Me and Brian got out the go-karts today! He's been working really hard to get them all in great shape. I'm still going to beat him no matter what he does to his!

Just Another Toy

This is what Brady now does when he sees his big boy car seat sitting in the corner of his room. I think he's about ready for the big switch-a-roo!

1st Fly-over!

Brian had his first fly-over at the tournament at the golf course today! It went so great! I'm trying really hard to learn how to film him well. He goes by so fast, I can't tell if I have him on screen! Plus, I'm trying to see him for myself and talk to him on the radio...I'm going to have to practice I supose! After the first time over, he came back and did some rolls. Luckily the weather turned out okay, but it was sprinkling a little. Now he gets to get ready for the bigger one next Saturday at the Speedway!

Gentlemen, start your engines!

Today was Brady's first time "driving" on the race track! I'm afraid we've created a monster though...all he wants to do is drive! In the car, in his walker, on the simulator, you have to tear him away. Him and Daddy are going to have tons of fun as soon as he's big enough to get into a go cart! He's such a boy...LOL

JT concert!

We had such a great Mother's Day! We took my parents and Brian's mom up to St. Louis for the day. We all went out to lunch and dinner, and then Grandma Lilla stayed with Brady while the other four of us went to see none other than the marvelous JAMES TAYLOR!!! Yayyy!!!! My mom and dad have gone many times to see him, but this was only my second, and most importantly, Brian's FIRST! Unfortunatly, G-ma called halfway through and said Brady was so upset we were gone that he made himself throw up four times....but my hubby is great, and left the concert to go back with him. The joys of being a parent. JT put on a great show, and me and Mom and Dad had a blast! That will make a great story to tell Brady someday.... good time, good times :)

Jolee Making Brady Laugh!

Jolee knows exactly how to get Brady going! He doesn't laugh too often, but when he does, it's so worth it! LOL

Sippy cup time

Yay for Brady! He's finally figured out he can hold a sippy cup! He was rather proud of himself. Big things are happening for him.... :)

Weekend in Olathe

She's a butterfly at heart!

Jolee bottle feeding some hungry goats.

Jolee and me

Jolee and her new friend Amber (my girlfriend Alicia's niece).

Riding the pony

Brady didn't want to get off the tractor at Chuckie Cheese.

I love my kids!!!!!

Sorry it took me so long to update everyone! I had some technical difficulties that Brian just helped to fix. Anywho.... last weekend, Daddy flew down to Talladega for the NASCAR race with a couple of buddies, so me and the kiddos went to KC. We try to cram as much into each trip as we can. This time we went to the Deanna Rose Farmstead, Chuckie Cheese, shopping, I got to get my hair done (WAY overdue!), and Jolee got to spend a night with her Great Aunt Patty. We had a great time seeing Nana and Papaw, but we were VERY ready to get home and see Dad. He had a great time, and says they got some good pictures that I will put up as soon as I can. Muah!!!
