My Flowers

I'm soooooo happy my dahlias have been doing so great the last several weeks!! I've been able to enjoy the thrill of going outside in MY yard and bring in fresh cut flowers that I get to look at anytime I want. Nothing beats that in my opinion.

People's Park

Me and my kiddos have been lucky enough to get to go hang out at the park quite a bit in the last couple of days. Brady is old enough now that he can really play alot on playgrounds. That definitly come with some scary moments though! I love going to this park because it's where my Grandpa used to take me when I was a kid. The facilities have changed, but it's still a cool thought!

For Brian's birthday today, everyone at the shop put together a party for him! Everyone brought something for lunch and they even grilled out. Thanks everyone!!!!!!

Soon to be Just Like New

Brian and Gary (our airplane guy) are fixing up the Aerostar and updating the interior and paint job. They ripped out the carpet and seats and curtains last week. Now, instead of curtains the windows are now tinted very dark, and were also going to have leather seats and nice new carpeting. He's really looking forward to updating the look. It felt like we were stepping back into the 70's every time we got in the thing! LOL
Brian's taking it to Mena, AR on wednesday to get a new paint job too...

1st Day of 2nd Grade

On Thursday August 20th, Jolee started 2nd grade! She was a bit nervous when we got close to her classroom, but she went right in when she saw her friends. Ms. McGinnis is a very nice lady, and we can't wait to see what she'll learn this year!!!

The other day Brady and I got outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. This was the first time he's been outside and able to run around on his own. And boy, does he run! He also played around with the football and went and checked out the puppy dogs. It was also his first time walking on grass!

Arachnaphobia

Soooo....to those that know me, you know I'm very proud of all of my plants and flowers and such around the house, and my hibiscus especially! Well, last week I was out watering the hibiscus out back and I got a good look at a spider that has been living in it. I got the trees several months ago, and the spider has been there since then. However, she seemed very sweet and never bothered me at all. I had begun lovingly calling her Charlotte (from the book). Well, after I got a good look at her last week I wanted to look her up on the internet and find out what kind she is. Imagine my surprise when I come to find out she is a brown widow (same as a black widow, only MORE deadly)!!! We know it is, because we saw 4 (!!!) egg sacs that are specifically made by brown widows. Then we read that they are deadly to small children....well, we have two of those, and we would prefer to keep it that way. So, I've had to bid adios to my dear hibiscus and deadly Charlotte. I had a moment of silence for them... :)

It's all good - I got a lime tree, a lemon tree and an orange tree to help take some of the pain from my loss away.

Slight Delay...

I know that it probably doesn't matter to anyone, but I apologize for not posting anything in such a long time! A few days ago I got a horrible toothache in a tooth that I had been neglecting for a veeeeerrrryyy long time (Mommy's do that). So, we went to Springfield yesterday so that I could get knocked out and get that sucker pulled. I'm not in any pain anymore, but now I'm so sick feeling...just miserable. At least it's the weekend so Brian can be here with Brady and I!

The other day my dear friend Lindsey came by with her son Jackson for a while. I hardly ever get to see them, so it was really great. Its crazy thinking Brady used to be Jackson's size not very long ago. I think these boys are going to be major trouble when they get together when they're bigger!

Brady got caught trying on Papaw's shoes he other day...gaves us all a good laugh!

A few days ago me and the kiddos met up with Josie and Kenny and Shayla to go to Chuckie Cheese. It was kind of a blur (as it always is), but it was tons of fun. Shayla's opening up to the rides and stuff the more she goes. Jolee's getting very close to having enough tickets for the Hannah Montana blanket! LOL
