Jolee's Project Runway Dress
This is a dress I finished today. I was so happy to get this one done! It's a "Project Runway" - inspired dress pattern...& it was a pain in my a$$! Jolee loved the fabric and the extra stuff I put on there. I'm proud I did this one, but now I'm going to do something easy! LOL
My Little Monkey
Brady has discovered something AMAZING that he can do....climb up and into his crib all by himself! Once he gets up in there, he jumps and jumps and jumps. He's never been the kind of kid to sit and hang out in his crib. But now it's the only place he wants to be! I can't seem to get a good action shot of him in action though....

Getting the meeting started
I was trying to get a candid shot of her working, but she caught me :)
The lucky radio girls getting ready to leave
Here are some pictures from thr Girl Scout meeting yestersay. Thanks to everyone who purchased cookies from my little scout and helping to support her. Due to her perfect attendance at meetings, she got to do something really neat last night! Jolee got to go to a local radio station and help to record an ad for our upcoming cookie stands outside of walmart! I am going to get a copy of it and post it as soon as I can.

New Jammies
This is a picture of the new pj's I made tonight. Jolee absolutely loves them! This is the first time I used ruffles, and I think if Jolee had it her way, it would be covered in them. The only thing I've tried to make that didn't work out right was a pair of pants. I think I just gave up too quick though. I like working on things that I feel confident with! LOL

Dr. Sammy
I just wanted to give a shout out to my wonderful dentist, Dr. Sammy Gutovitz in Olathe. Me and my family started going to him about 12 years ago, and I've been completely spoiled ever since! I will travel many, many hours just to see him and his wife Susan. They make having cavities much more fun than it would be otherwise :)
It may be odd to consider your dentist your friend, but I do! LOL
Lindsey and Jackson
During my very quick trip to Olathe, one of my best friends, Lindsey, cameo over for a visit with her son Jackson. It was so much fun watching the boys interact together! My parents have always considered Lin-z to be another one of their daughters, so it goes without saying that they think the world of Jackson. Papaw just loved getting to have two of his grandbabies with him! I'm sure it's weird to see me and her as Mommies when they remember not very long ago we were running around the house as awkward kids ourselves!

Brady reverted back to crawling when he saw his buddy doing it! LOL

Elmo Storytime
Nana snapped a few pictures of me reading Brady a book the other day, and I just thought that they were cute. He doesn't usually sit still long enough to read a book, but he was really interested in finding all of the items in the Elmo book. I really enjoy the few times he sits still long enough to relax :)

1st Skirt
Here's a skirt I made for Jolee this morning. It's a Pink Fig pattern (I want to make all of them!), and went together pretty quick. Although, I couldn't quite get the hang of gathering the fabric, so I adjusted and made pleats instead. I also got to have my first experience with doing an elastic waistband. It's not so hard, you just have to have TONS of patience to work it through the band. It turned out really cute, and Jolee really likes it.

Copper
The Powers Family has just adopted a new family member! His name is Copper, and I dont actually know exactly what kind of doggie he is or how old he is, but we DO know that we love him so much! Jolee found him outside at her mom's house a few days ago. No one has come around looking for their dog, and it's just too cold and snowy to leave a little puppy around outside like that. Brian and I decided we needed a indoor dog for the kiddos. Brady absolutely loves him! He sleeps okay at night, and he's really calm. The only thing that I don't know how to fix is him kindof nibbling at us. That really freaks Brady out, but it's just a puppy thing and will pass. So far he is becoming a wonderful addition to our family :)
