Meeting Brooklyn :)

While we were in Olathe this weekend we got to see the beautiful Brooklyn Rose!!! My best friend Lindsey just had her almost two weeks ago, and she is absolutely adorable. I forget just how small they are :) I can tell you, I'm already enjoying the thought that I get to spoil a little girl now for the next several years.

Jolee loved getting to hold her

Brooklyn seriously looks like a "scrunched up " mini-Lindsey! LOL

More Fun in Branson

This last Friday, Brian and I met up with some of our favorite people in Branson for a fun, kids-free night. We dropped the kids off at Nana and Papaw's house (this is the first time they've stayed a night away from either of us), and off we went to go meet up with Brian's brother Chris and his wife Crystal, and Brian's sister Lisa and her husband Steve. We managed to squeeze in some shopping in the afternoon, which the boys tolerated VERY well. After having a great mexican dinner, off we went to Ernie Biggs piano bar. The atmosphere wasn't near as fun as it was when my girlfriend Nicole and I had been there last month, but the awesome people we were with more than made up for it!!!

Kaity's a Pro Now!

On sunday morning, we all got out to do some fishing down at the pond. Kaity had never been fishing before, so we figured we had to! The girls each caught sooooooo many perch. Nana & Papaw walked around the pond with Brady and kept him occupied :)

Kaity's very first fish EVER!!!

Waiting for the Daddy Show

These were taken while we were outside waiting for dad to fly over the house on the 4th. Before the West Plains fireworks show he got the jet out and put on a show of his own for the crowd. After that he came and did some low passes over us at the house. Brady loves to see his daddy do that!

Happy 4th of July!!!!

Since Nana and Papaw came down last weekend for a visit, we decided to throw a little shindig for the 4th. We invited several friends and family and had a really great time catching up. We got WAY too much food from the BBQ place down the road, and way too many desserts from everyone that came over. Nicole and Rusty's kids came over and played with Brady and Jolee outside and gave us adults a chance to talk :) The kids got to do some sparklers, and then the Dads all got out and set off some awesome fireworks down at the pond.

Me and Brady : He actually ended up liking the fireworks! He started yelling to Brian "good job Daddy!" from the deck.

Success in the Garden

Every season, I like to try new stuff in the garden just to see if I can even grow it. Turns out I can apparently grow a few new things. They may not be doing as well as they should, but as long as it has leaves and something that resembles something you can buy at the grocery store, I'm satisfied! LOL

I've picked 4 squash so far

Jolee's Full of CHEER!!!!

This last week Jolee got to participate in the Zizzer Cheer Camp at the high school in West Plains. It is put on by the high school cheerleaders, which our sitter Kat happens to be a part of! Jolee got to be in Kat's group, and they worked really hard for three days. Brady loved going and watching the girls jump around and scream :)
Good work girls!
