On To 3rd Grade!

Jolee is now a third grader! Time has definitly flown by. She had a wonderful year in 2nd grade, and made a bunch of new friends and had some great experiences. Now she gets to enjoy a month of summer school. Here's some pictures from her last day with her friends and her wonderful teacher Mrs. McGinnis:

Girl's Weekend

Last weekend, my girlfriend Nicole and I decided it was time for a VERY belated girls weekend. We decided to hit up the big city of Branson! Woo-hoo! When you consider what we were wanting to do (spa, shop) I think any place would have worked. LOL
We had a great time getting massages and pedicures, getting a shower without kids screaming in the background, and saving our husbands a TON of money...I've learned how to word that just right :)
Next time I'm going to have to show her around KC for sure!

Perfect Day for Watermelon

I decided that it's getting to be time for Brady to experience some of the finer things in life, the current one being watermelon! Nothing is cuter than a toddler getting it all over their face and spitting the seeds out. However, as usual, my child had a different plan. He had absolutely no interest in any of it. Because as we all know, watermelon is one of the more intimidating fruits...

Happy Birthday Brady!!!!

As crazy as it sounds, my little baby is 2! This last year went so fast, I can see him changing everyday. He's communicating so well and has such an amazing personality. He really is a perfect little boy! We couldn't ask for a better family :)
Last night we had us a Mickey themed birthday party and had some our good family and friends over to celebrate. This year he dove right into the cake (last year he was too afraid to), and made a perfect mess of his new birthday shirt! After presents we all went outside and fed the fish, picked strawberries, and played basketball. And next weekend its off to Olathe to celebrate with our KC peeps... so much fun!

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to everyone! We had a wonderful day just hangin around. Last night Brian and the kids made me breakfast, AND I didn't have to clean a single dish! Food always tastes better when you don't cook it yourself. This morning, Brian and the kids had cards and a beautiful Willow Tree figurine for my collection. Then Grandma Lilla and her sister Sandy came over for the afternoon. We had a wonderful time visiting and talking about our gardens :)
